Radical Compliance Magazine Identifies Another Form of AI Slop: Unreliable Data

According to longtime editor (and former client) Matt Kelly, a very smart and forward-looking expert, recently posted on LinkedIn about another example of AI Slop, which we discussed in our annual predictions.

According to Matt, “I would argue the risk here is more subtle, and needs a different acronym: BDI BOO. Biased data in, biased outcomes out.”

This is an important and often overlooked point. People know about AI hallucinations, where AI generates incorrect information. But what Matt discusses is entirely different and is a real problem for people relying on AI for information and decision-making. AI may be accurate at summarizing data, but if the underlying data is flawed, it will be impossible to fact-check. This is another way we’ll end up with AI slop.

Here’s a link to Matt’s LinkedIn post, which is worth reading. Also check out Radical Compliance for other of his insights.
